About the Author

Jill Frankfort has worked as a math teacher and as a research analyst for Policy Studies Associates, an education evaluation firm. As a research analyst, Jill created profiles on successful programs and schools through site visits, interviews, and quantitative research. She also helped in the development of the U.S. Department of Education publication, Helping Hispanic Students Reach High Academic Standards. Jill graduated from Brown University and received a Masters in Education from Wake Forest University.
